From July 7th to July 11th, a delegation from the State Customs Service of the Kyrgyz Republic visited South Korea for a week.

Kyrgyz Customs is working on optimizing customs processes and automating customs service activities, with one of the main elements being the development and implementation of a single information platform called “Smart Bazhi.”

Led by Deputy Chairman Mr. Saliev Almaz Abdildaevich, the Kyrgyz Customs delegation visited the Korea Customs Service to consider the possibility of introducing the UNI-PASS system used by Korea Customs. They also visited CUPIA offices, where they held technical consultation sessions.

Both sides tested the compatibility of e-PASS with Kyrgyzstan’s unique environment and institutional framework, considering real-world implementation scenarios. They also evaluated how to address any unavoidable gaps, while testing the completeness and flexibility of CUPIA’s latest solutions.

The delegation gave a very positive evaluation of the potential introduction of the e-PASS solution and enjoyed the remainder of their visit experiencing Korea’s traditional culture and cuisine.

CUPIA welcomes customs authorities from around the world who wish to visit South Korea to share knowledge on advancing customs administration. We encourage interested officials to reach out to us.
