Feasibility Study on Establishment of ASEAN-ROK Regional CO Exchange Platform
Client: African Development Bank (AfDB)
Main Contractor: CUPIA
Project Duration: Approximately 2 years, starting from 2024
Scope: The scope of the project involves preparing a Feasibility Study report. This includes analyzing the current status of certificate of origin exchanges between Korea and 10 Asian countries, proposing a future model for a new exchange platform, and developing a detailed action plan.
For the establishment of a regional-level Single Window system in Africa, each member state must already have a certain level of a Single Window system in place, and institutional arrangements to support it must also be put in place beforehand. VP Jung introduced CUPIA’s e-PASS Single Window solution as one of the options for member states to implement an optimal Single Window system in line with international standards. e-PASS not only complies with international regulations but is also adaptable to the specific needs of individual countries, streamlining administrative processes and maximizing efficiency.
VP Quaynor recognized the potential of CUPIA’s e-PASS system to greatly benefit African nations and indicated AfDB’s willingness to provide financial support for the project. Both sides reaffirmed their strong commitment to jointly advancing the implementation of the SW system and pledged to maintain close cooperation going forward.
