CUPIA participated in the 14th WCO IT Conference celebrated this year from May 6 to 8 at Freeport, Bahamas with the theme “Inclusiveness Through Information Technologies. This year’s conference was hosted by the Bahamas customs and supported by the Korea Customs Service.
CUPIA participated as an exhibitor, alongside the Korea Customs Service to promote the UNI-PASS system. The UNI-PASS booth was visited by Dr. Michael Darville (Minister for Grand Bahama), Right Hon. Perry Gladstone Christie (Prime Minister of Finance of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas), and Mr. Kunio Mikuriya (Secretary General of WCO) (pictured above) who showed interest in the UNI-PASS system and how the system has been adopted by several countries in Asia, Africa and the Americas. Moreover the booth was visited by several customs administrations who were interested in bench-marking the UNI-PASS system.
